Only a Distraction

Someone said color is only a distraction when it comes to good photography.  I put my camera in black and white mode and went out taking pictures.  It’s true.  You pay more attention to composition and lighting when shooting in B&W.  Color is a distraction.

Misused Terms in Photography

The topic of misused terms in photography came to me when someone asked about “the industry standard”.  Industry standard implies a written, documented, industry accepted design, set of protocols and mode of operation.  An example of an industry standard in photograph is ISO.

UPS delivered a small package today containing the Fujifilm X-T2 with battery grip.  I’m going to share my impressions as I unpack this thing.

Nikon, NIK and Strange Things

I just read that the Japanese Government is asking Fujifilm to aid ailing Nikon. Then, Google announces they are not going to support NIK filters any more, but stranger things have happened.
