Selling Yourself Short

Selling yourself short is easy for us artists.  Our creations become a part of us.  It is part of our super-ego.  Thus, we are more likely to feed that super-ego than we are to think rationally.

Stuck in a Paradigm

So many photographers are stuck in a paradigm.  (Paradigm – a typical example or pattern of something.)  Today I address those paradigms.

Often paradigms keep us in a neat little box.  People don’t like change, yet they often complain about issues resulting from their paradigm.

ACDSee Ultimate 2018

Long before there was Adobe Lightroom, there was ACDSee.  The latest version of it is ACDSee Ultimate 2018 (just released).  I think I was using ACDSee back in 2003 when it was just ACDSee (I want to say version 5).

Mutual Respect

There is a rule in my studio.  It is called the Rule of Mutual Respect.  This is what it means…

If I ask someone to pose a certain way for a photo, and they say they don’t want to, I won’t ask again.  On the other hand, if they ask me to photograph them a certain way, and I don’t want to, they don’t ask again.
